Hurry Home, Now
An artist's book completed as a senior thesis project at Pratt Institute, Hurry Home, Now seeks to illuminate under-examined elements of transgender identity. When a trans teenager runs away from home to start a new life, they end up in a fatal car crash with a deer on the highway. Both beings transcend to the afterlife, where they are free from the constraints of the world humans created: no more roads and street signs, no more cars and buildings, no more gender. Their death brings both pain and relief, and their rebirth brings comfort and peace.
